The outbreak of the coronavirus across the globe calls for prayers by Christians. Prayer is one of the powerful tools to live victoriously in these trying times.
Thousands of people have died globally from the coronavirus pandemic and many people have lost their sources of livelihood due to disease, also.
For months now, people have been locked up in their homes, unable to go to work, socialize with their families and friends –an anti-natural event.
Economies have contracted, world bodies are predicting doom post-coronavirus era and health workers are now battling hard, on the frontline, to save lives, daily.
It’s such a gloomy picture across different continents in the world but as Christians, we are not to lose hope.
We have a potent weapon to wage war against this coronavirus ravaging the world – prayers.
The bible makes us understand that in James 5:16 that the “effectual fervent prayers of the righteous man availeth much.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version (KJV): If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
This scripture above is another indication of the fact that through prayers, we can help in the fight against coronavirus.
